I’m a 12 year old boy on a journey through life
“Life is measured in achievement, not in years alone” ~ Bruce McLaren
So here it is, my first blog!
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Ben. I’m 11 years old and live at home in Oxfordshire with my Mum, Dad & younger Brother Oscar. I attend Kingfisher School in Abingdon, a school which provides needs for children with complex physical, and/or learning difficulties.
Because of my difficulties, Mum & Dad are my ‘Ghost writers’ so any grammar and spelling mistakes you find—blame them 🙂 I’ll make sure they let me have a go at this from time to time and then one day I can write my own blogs, but for now, I’ll leave it in their trusty hands.
Recently, I have competed in a Panathlon Challenge at Abingdon & Witney College. We competed against other schools from Oxfordshire and we won GOLD! This meant that we went on to the South & Central Region Multisport Final, representing Oxfordshire at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, where we won SILVER (46 Points) narrowly missing out on gold which was won by Wiltshire(54 Points). Northamptonshire won bronze (44 Points)
Since then, things have become really exciting! That’s the purpose of this blog. Initially I was asked by Tony Waymouth (COO Panathlon Challenge) to write a blog about my experience at the Panathlon Challenges, but as 2017 is shaping up to be super exciting, my blog page will cover everything I get up to from now on.
So there you have it, I’ve entered the world of blogging, and hoping to share my stories and help inspire others in this experience we all share – LIFE
